Join us for a focused, two-day gathering designed to ground our understanding of marriage in the unchanging truth of God's Word. Whether your marriage is thriving, you are navigating a difficult season, or you are single and desire to deeply understand God's design, this weekend will richly equip and encourage you!

What to Expect:

  • Friday Evening | Session 1: The Reason for Marriage. We will lay the theological foundation by exploring God’s original design, the beauty of covenant faithfulness, and how the marital union ultimately points to Christ’s sacrificial love for His Church.
  • Saturday Morning | Session 2: The Roles within Marriage. We will examine the distinct, complementary callings of husbands and wives. This session will focus on sacrificial love, joyful submission, and how to rely entirely on Christ’s grace and strength when we are exhausted.
  • Saturday Mid-Day | Open Forum Breakout Sessions. Attendees will divide into distinct groups—husbands, wives, and those not currently married. These sessions offer a dedicated, open forum to dialogue directly with church leaders. So come prepared to discuss marriage-related issues, and seek practical, biblical counsel.
  • Saturday Afternoon | Session 3: The Rewards in Marriage. We will conclude by celebrating the profound blessings of a Christ-centered marital union, highlighting the deep joy and enduring hope found when a marriage is lived out exactly as the Creator intended.

Pastor Rick Gregory, our speaker, has been serving the Lord in pastoral ministry since 1981 and has served as Senior Pastor of Grace Bible Church of Fair Oaks, CA since 2006. He has co-authored numerous books on biblical relationships and published several exegetical commentaries and earned his Doctor of Ministry from Grace Theological Seminary in 1995. Pastor Rick and his wife Pat have been married for 46 years and have been blessed with 5 children and 18 grandchildren.

 FAQ's:

  1. My marriage is going swell, what does this conference have to offer me and my spouse?Praise God for seasons of stability and comfort in your marriage! However, just like the seasons here in Maryland (which apparently can change day to day), we can expect changes in the seasons of our marriage. This conference offers a dedicated weekend away from the distractions of daily life to intentionally focus on your covenant with one another and with the Lord. It is an opportunity to fortify your foundation before the inevitable trials and storms of life hit, to deepen your joy as we explore the "Rewards in Marriage," and to align your relationship even more closely with the God of the Bible. Furthermore, as a couple in a thriving marriage, you will be equipped to encourage and disciple others in your local context who may be walking through difficult seasons.
  2. I am struggling in my marriage, how can this conference help?If you are exhausted, hurting, or feeling disconnected, please know this conference is a safe place for you. Our aim isn’t to help you fake it until you make it. Rather, it is our hope and desire to help struggling couples recognize their imperfections in light of the perfect Lord and Savior who redeems and reconciles even the vilest of sinners. The sinner’s greatest need isn’t a wonderful marriage nor contentment in singleness, but rather a true and lasting relationship with Christ Jesus. When the world’s advice fails us, the sufficient, unchanging truth of Scripture provides an anchor rooted in the person of Christ. During this weekend, you will hear how Christ offers the boundless grace required to sustain a lifelong covenant, especially when we are at the end of our own strength. Additionally, our Saturday breakout sessions are specifically designed to give you time to ask hard questions and receive compassionate, biblical counsel directly from church leaders.
  3. I am not currently married, what could this marriage conference possibly do for me?God’s design for marriage is foundational to understanding the Gospel itself, as it is the ultimate earthly picture of Christ’s sacrificial love for His Church. Whether you desire to be married in the future and want to prepare yourself by understanding God’s blueprint now, or you simply want to better understand how to support, pray for, and encourage the married couples in our church family, this weekend is highly relevant to you. We have also designed a specific breakout session on Saturday just for those who are not currently married, offering a dedicated time to dialogue with church leaders about navigating life, relationships, and faithfulness to Christ in your current season.
