EQUIPPING CLASSES
Sunday Mornings – 9:30-10:40 AM
Classes This Quarter
There are four classes available this quarter in our Equipping Classes program. All classes are open to both members and visitors alike. Learn more about how you can grow in your faith by selecting from the list of classes below. REGISTER HERE.
Life of Christ, Part 4
Teachers: Alan Plumley and Jeff Fein
Description: A wise teacher once gave this advice to those desiring to grow in Christ: “Master the
Master.” It’s true that the more we understand the life of Christ—not just what He said and did, but
perhaps more importantly His character, His thinking, and His heart—the more we’ll worship Him
and desire to be truly like Him. This is the last of four quarters in which we are going verse by verse
through a harmony of all four of the gospels in chronological order with a particular emphasis on
application. The extensive notes will be helpful for your study and reference. There is no need to
have participated in the first three quarters.
Crazy Busy
Teacher: Doug Baldridge
Description: Is life a blur or are you struggling with a lack of time for all the things on your list?
Does the thought of doing one more thing give you vertigo? Then you might want to consider this
class, Crazy Busy. The majority of the class will be based on the book of the same name by Kevin
DeYoung. This will be an interactive and supportive class which will examine the things that
pressure us to fill our schedules. We will discuss principles of wisdom in how to spend our time and
focus on those things which are most needful.
The Lost Words: When Language Replaces Faith
Teacher: Scott Mahoney
Description: Words shape how we think about God, ourselves, and the world. When our words are
vague, our thoughts, convictions, and sense of purpose become vague too. In this class, we’ll reclaim
clarity by exploring the true meaning of key biblical terms—faith, kingdom, forgiveness,
righteousness, holiness, covenant, legalism, grace, spiritual, thankfulness, and more. Together, we’ll
examine how our definitions align—or clash—with the way Scripture uses these words. Are you
ready to let the language of the Bible reshape how you think and live?
Fundamentals of the Faith, Part 2
Teacher: Pastor Michael Jarvis & Isaac Bagley
Description: This course is the gateway to all of our other Equipping Classes as it establishes you in
the essentials of Christian doctrine, devotion, and discipleship. The course material is equally
beneficial to you whether you are a first-time student or a seasoned saint looking to grow in the
grace and knowledge of Christ. Join us as we continue to cover the fundamentals of the Christian
faith!
