Official name: Hope Bible Church Home Educators
Mission Statement: The mission of Hope Bible Church Home Educators is to assist parents who are home educating by providing a state-recognized umbrella program, a basic support group, and supplementary classroom training where applicable. This ministry is just in the formative stages and will grow to meet the needs of the participating parents as resources and leadership allow.
Objectives:
- 1. The state-recognized umbrella program will provide the structure for a supervised home education program which meets all current state regulations, including a diploma program for homeschooled high school students. This program is designed to give parents as much freedom as possible in determining their children's education. The required supervision entails personal conferences with each family to evaluate their progress and adherence to state guidelines.
- 2. The support group will function as a volunteer cooperative with activities and field trips planned and carried out by the members. It will provide an appropriate forum for Hope Bible Church homeschooled students and families to fellowship with one another and leverage the benefits of group activities.
- 3. Supplementary classes may be organized to cover subjects which either require specialized instruction or lend themselves to group participation. Examples include: foreign language, art, music, literature discussions, physical education, science laboratory work, etc.
